The other day I got a message on LI from someone I'd never spoken to.
“I'm about to launch a program for female entrepreneurs who want to get their dream figure without the sacrifice. But before I charge for it I'd like to run it past a few people who might be interested. Would you like to hear about it?”
My first thought was, “Who on earth are you? What makes you think I don't have my dream figure 🙂 Why would I go to you for help if I wanted to make a change in that area? Why would I want to give you my time to be a guinea pig for you?”
A quick search on FB revealed she'd sent the same message to a bunch of groups .. with 0 engagement.
Whoever teaches that strategy misses the vital 1st step ..
Until I know who you are I don't care about what you offer.
There are a million ways to help me know who you are and what you're about – writing, video, a podcast, being interviewed .. whatever you choose .. just make sure you answer question Nº1 before asking for anything.
