“I don’t have enough time.”, is that what you say when someone asks about your biggest challenge when it comes to building your business?
I did when I started an online business teaching non-Spanish flamenco enthusiasts how to sew their own dance costumes 10 years ago. (check it out here)
Deep down though I knew that wasn’t true. Sure I was busy sewing – flamenco dancers need costumes all the time.
But ..
.. the reason I didn’t MAKE time for it was that I wasn’t sure there was enough of a market to justify the effort.
There was also fear of failure ..
It was easier to live with the excitement of a future project than dealing with the disappointment and embarrassment of a failed venture.
The question is, what do you need to in order to believe that your project or business is worth giving it more than a half-arsed try?
For me, the tipping point was the day I saw that my Mailchimp list had quietly grown to 800 people. “What if there isn’t an audience?” didn’t make sense anymore.
Nobody can tell you how and when you know for sure whether or not your business is worth your full effort.
Until you do, keep working 🙂
