Turns out there are ways to use your Facebook page that help you reach the right people, without sleazy methods or gambling your savings on ads ..

In this online workshop Fiona Catchpowle, aka fabulous CyberGran, shared no fluff, actionable tips for getting the most out of your Facebook page and answered a bunch of questions.

Fiona's 3 Top Tips:

  1. Do your housework – check your own page likes and what interests Facebook has stored for you. It helps you improve the quality of your feed and understand how Facebook determines who to show ads to.
  2. Know your page well – know what's there and send people to specific, relevant content when appropriate. Don't ask them to LIKE your page. Only invite them to look and let them decide for themselves if they want to follow your page. People who just click the like button “mechanically” but aren't really interested in your content might get your “vanity metrics” up but won't help you grow your business.
  3. Post content following the “Rule of 3”. Fiona teaches about the Rule of 3 in her CyberGranAcademy but she shared a quick overview:
    1. S – post specific content, about what you do, how people can work with you etc.
    2. G – general content showcasing your expertise or teaching about topics related to your offers
    3. F – fun content, something light hearted, a look behind the scenes to let people see YOU.
