Whatever your passion is – sewing (like me), writing, another kind of art or craft, coaching healing, speaking – when you first set out to start your own business my guess is you researched something along the lines of “How to start my own business?” or took a small business management course.
Most people I've spoken to were told they needed a business plan, website, marketing strategy, social media following and all the rest of it. It left them with a sense of overwhelm and many doubted whether they are cut out for this whole entrepreneurial thing.
There is nothing wrong with having a business plan, or a marketing strategy, or branding, great time management skills, it's great to be productive, to have a website and social media following. The thing is you can get all of that right and still struggle (or get all of them wrong and be successful).
