Rant alert 😛
I run a couple of Facebook groups, and I'm an administrator for a bunch of others. I've observed a few things people do in an attempt to grow their business that aren't working for them, and that are annoying as hell for those on the receiving end:
- “No hit & runs please!”: Gift other people's offers the attention you'd like to have for yours. Without that, few will see your offer and fewer still will care.
- Don't give unsolicited advice: Everybody hates that. Ask for permission before shoving your well intentioned help down someone's throat.
- Don't fish in waters that aren't yours: If you want to offer your services to someone in someone else's group whose offer is very similar to yours, slow down and invite them into your world before opening the conversation.
